Anti-Racism
Our Anti-Racism Committee worked in solidarity with people in our communities who experience racism and colonialism, in particular, African Nova Scotian and Indigenous peoples. Some examples include Working While Black, a collaborative project on anti-Black racism in the workplace, and our campaign against police street checks.
Working While Black
Our Anti-Racism Committee helped coordinate Working While Black in Nova Scotia, a joint project of Ujamaa, Solidarity Halifax and the former Kwacha House Café.
Guideposts for Anti-Racist Organizing Against Capitalism
In July 2014, our Anti-Racism Committee produced Guideposts for Anti-Racist Organizing Against Capitalism, a pamphlet that outlines our collective analysis of racism and effective ways of opposing it.
